What experience do I need to open an insulation franchise with MILO Insulation?
The MILO Insulation franchise owner shares our philosophy and is inspired by our mission to create and install sustainable building materials. We prefer you to have insulation or construction experience, but anyone with business skills and a drive to learn is welcome.
What is provided as part of the MILO Insulation franchise program?
Franchise owners, operating principles, and plant managers receive fourteen days of comprehensive training; and extruder operators, installation foremen, and salespeople receive eight days of comprehensive training. With training taking place at Milex Hands-on Training, these groups will learn the MILO Insulation operating model, both in the classroom and on the job. When it’s time for your Grand Opening, our MILO Insulation team will travel to your location and spend two days with you and your team for additional onsite training to make sure you are calm, confident, and excited as you open an insulation franchise in your community. Owners will have access to the MILO Insulation Confidential Operations Manual for daily operations, proprietary manufacturing processes, and more. How much will the MILO Insulation franchise program cost me?
The estimated initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $521,320 to $880,410. This includes a $75,000 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We collect a royalty fee equal to 5% of weekly gross revenues. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of programs, marketing tools, training programs, recipes, and systems upgrades. Are there any advertising fees?
Franchise owners will be required to spend 2% of monthly gross revenues on local marketing each month, and a minimum of $15,000 on their Grand Opening. You will also contribute 1% of gross revenues to the brand marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the MILO Insulation brand and cover the creative costs to develop branded marketing materials and campaigns.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
